1/On the main menu Click Patient>Add Patient. 

 

OR

 

2/ Directly register the new patient from the appointment screen. 

Click a suitable time on the appointment screen and type in the name of the patient. 

then Press enter.

 

• The system has two ways of responding

  • there is not a match in the patient database
    
    • The system gives a prompt to say that "this patient does not exist in the system".  
    • Select the register button if you wish to immediately register the patient.
      Enter all the patient's details and register the patient.
    • Select the temporary button to place a temporary name into the appointment time.
      If a temporary appointment is created then the patient's details can be entered later. 
      To update a temporary appointment Right click on the temporary appointment and select register from the drop-down menu.   
      
  • there is a match in the patient database
    
    • A match occurs for a new patient with a patient already in the database if there is a large number of patients.
      (e.g John Smith)
      The match might not be correct so instead click "Add New" from the patient search form. 

 3. Patient search screen > click on  "Add New" to open the patient registration screen.
